Delia Castaneda

K-8 Spanish Tutor

I was born and raised in Guatemala into a family who taught me to believe, follow, love and serve Christ.  After I earned a B.A. in Higher Studies in Computer Programming with a teaching certificate from Franciso Marroquin University in Guatemala, I began teaching Spanish and Computer Science at an elementary school. I also taught a course called "Evaluation Designs for Children" at a private high school. I have been married to my husband, Oscar, since 1987. We have two adult daughters. My wonderful family and I moved to East Lansing when my husband took over a position at MSU. Since 1999, I have been blessed with the opportunity to teach Spanish to homeschooled families and to tutor middle school, high school, and college students. Wherever in the world I have been, God has been a constant presence and there are no words to describe the wonders He has shown me and my family.  I'm teaching Spanish because it is a blessing in my life and it is a career that I really enjoy and love.
