1-4 Spanish Course Description

Our 1st through 4th grade Spanish classes are designed to introduce children to the Spanish language. Students will learn to pronounce Spanish words and simple phrases in an easy and fun way. These classes include basic vocabulary, conversations, exercises, songs, Biblical songs, games, and activities designed to make learning the Spanish language a truly enjoyable experience.  Some topics covered in this course include greetings, colors, shapes, numbers, animals, the family, etc.


5-6 Spanish Course Description

This is an introduction of grammatical concepts in Spanish. The focus of this course is to give the students a foundation of Spanish skills with an emphasis on communication, reading, and writing. Students are first introduced to the basic vocabulary, learning the meaning and how to pronounce it, and then how to use the new vocabulary in phrases and sentences. Some topics covered in this course include greetings, colors, numbers, days of the week, months, weather, family, house, sports and verbs. In this class, they will also be  taught Biblical verses in Spanish, given quizzes, quarterly exams, and homework.

7-8 Spanish Course Description

This is an introduction of grammatical concepts in Spanish. As a communicative Spanish class, it includes speaking,  reading, writing, and listening practice. Class time combines listening, focus on vocabulary, and interaction with other  students. In this class, students are also taught Biblical verses in Spanish, given a variety of readings, quizzes, quarterly exams, a cultural project, and homework.
