1 - 8 Art Tutor

Since childhood, I have always been interested in observing the world around me. I am especially attracted to the brilliant colors in God’s creation. Painting and drawing became very natural to me in order to capture those wonderful colors and shapes around me. Creating bright and beautiful art has long been my passion.

Since my husband and I started homeschooling our children, I have had the honor of teaching various art classes to other homeschooled children. It is such a privilege to see children find the joy in creating many different forms of art through these experiences.

I met my wonderful husband of over 35 years while attending MSU. Our jobs relocated us to Chicago, but we moved back to Michigan to raise our children. We homeschooled two sons from their birth to the end of highschool. One of the key verses for us to focus on during those homeschooling years was Deuteronomy 6:5-7, “Love the Lord of your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts, Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.”  It was such a memorable time of our lives.

My passion to teach homeschoolers through art brought me to LAHA and I have been thoroughly enjoying another homeschool journey!
